a few fresh ingredients you’ll need!
Homemade Ramen:
This first recipe is one of my favorites and actually what gave me the idea for this blog. My first experience with making it is actually really funny. One of my best friends gave me her recipe and I was ecstatic to try it,the very next day I went and bought everything I needed and headed straight home to get cooking. I followed the recipe to the t, which ended up being a big problem. When I got done I plated it all pretty and and was so excited to try it. As soon as I took my first bite I knew something was wrong. It was awful. I immediately texted my friend who gave gave me the recipe and told her that I must have done something wrong because it tasted really off.You won’t believe what she said. The recipe she gave was wrong, it said to use tablespoons of some ingredients and it meant to say tea spoon. I of course followed the recipe blindly without questioning it, and it was extremely over flavored. Anyways let’s get onto the recipe, which I can proudly say was delicious last night.
What you’ll need:
-4 cups of beef broth
-2 pressed garlic cloves
-1 teaspoon of grated ginger
-2 slices of thick cut ham
-1 tablespoon of soy sauce
-2 boiled eggs
-1 tablespoon of olive oil
-2 green onions
-2 packages of ramen noodles(you wont need the flavor packets)
Directions-
Add your beef broth, garlic and ginger into a large saucepan on medium heat. As that heats up, slice your ham into large triangles and add them to a small skillet with your olive oil on low heat. Brown the slices on each side. Add your garlic, ginger and soy sauce to your beef broth and turn up the heat.Once it’s to a boil add your noodles, when they are fully cooked remove from burner. Slice your eggs and green onions and add them for garnish.
Quick Chicken, Ranch and lime ramen:
A more simple and quick twist on traditional ramen is chicken, ranch and lime ramen. This delicious and is exactly what it sounds like. I tend to make this one more because it’s more compatible with my busy schedule.
Cook time:5 minutes
Ingredients:
-1 package of chicken ramen
-½. Of a lime
-¼ of ranch dressing
Directions-
Microwave or boil your noodle(Microwave method is much quicker). Drain the water and add the chicken powder. Squeeze the juice from the lime and add it and the ranch to your ramen. Stir and enjoy.
